I have only used it a few times but it does seem to be a quality product, which can be defined as vaule for money, it was super easy to use, but I have no idea what thickness has to do with anything. But I guess it has thickness as well. Seriously I am happy with the purchase so far, if that changes so will this review.nashville-davidson mall, las vegas mall, ranking top149 BestValueVacs Vacuum Chamber Heat Pad

Product Description

9" Vacuum Chamber Digital Heat Pad

This heater is super accurate, and will hold a temp within a degree (depending on the environment and air movement) The heater includes full instructions to operate it and make PID controller changes. You can leave this heater on for months without any off time. The pad comes with thermal tape, this will be used with a thermal laser gun to shoot the temps. If you have a thermocouple that would be the best method to check and verify temps. The controller has a temperature offset that will need to be found to set the controller accurately. Anything you attach a heat pad to will act like a heat sink. So the set temperature will be different from the actual inside temperature. However, our instructions tell you and provide the thermal labels to accurately find the offset and program the difference in. For example: If you set the chamber to 110°F the actual temp on the bottom surface inside the chamber will read about 101°F on the thermal label. (don't move the gun around, thermal labels reflect lasers too) Since the inside is reading 101°F and the controller is set to 110°F your offset is 9°F, so Add 9° to the 110°F setting (119°F) and you will achieve your 110°F on the inside surface of the chamber.

All Abuzz About Bugs!

We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures.

We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.

Our Mission

Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.

Our Method

We collect photographs of bugs from the United States and Canada for identification and research.

We summarize our findings in guide pages for each order, family, genus, and species.

Making New Discoveries

More than just a clearinghouse for information, this site helps expand on the natural histories of our subjects. By capturing the place and time that submitted images were taken, we are creating a virtual collection that helps define where and when things might be found.

We capture never-before-seen behaviors and we have photos of species that you won't find anywhere else on the web.
