HP ENVY Desktop Computer, Intel Core i7-10700, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB H:at our store, we stock over 2000 models, so if you see the manufacturer, but not the model, don't be shy - give us a call and we will be happy to check! While I've admittedly only had this up and running for 24 hours, I LOVE it! I have ran every single update required (HP and Windows) and installed quite a bit of software. I've loaded all of my software onto the SSD and my 377 GB of files onto the HDD. This PC is FAST FAST FAST!Today, I simultaneously ran Outlook (with 3 accounts), Excel, SQL Server Management Studio, a SQL Server Express instance, SQL Server Migration Assistant, 6+ Chrome tabs, a couple of MS Access databases, multiple File Explorer windows, Harvest, Word, Kaspersky, Notepad++, etc. and had ZERO issues... with one minor, but annoying, exception. As others have reported, you'll notice that devices connected via USB stop working periodically. In many cases (ex. when you're using a USB-connected wireless keyboard amp; mouse), this gives the appearance of the computer 'freezing up'. I'm not saying that this is what's happening to ALL of the users who are experiencing the 'freeze' issues, but it was 100% the cause of mine. Anyway, having experienced a similar issue with my HP laptop several years ago, I remembered finding that this is caused by a STUPID default setting. However, this problem can VERY EASILY be fixed and you'll experience the problem no more!Open Control Panel -gt; if View By is set to Category, change it to small or large icons -gt; Device Manager -gt; (if needed) click the gt; next to the computer's name to expand it -gt; expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers groupThen, for every Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub, Generic USB Hub amp; USB Root Hub you see, perform the following actions:Right-click -gt; select the Power Management tab -gt; DESELECT Allow the computer to turn off this device to save powerThat's it! It worked perfectly for mine and I suspect it will work for yours, too. If it does, please mark this as helpful so that more people will see it. I'd hate for anyone to return their computer (or feel 'stuck' because they've missed the return window) for something that's so easily remedied.I'll provide an update should my opinion of this PC change in the future. Good luck to us all!UPDATE June 27, 2021: I've had this PC for ~7 months now and still absolutely LOVE it!! Only one time (approximately 3-4 months ago), the 'freeze' issue popped back up post a BIOS update. I followed the above steps again and, even though everything was already shown as deselected, it was enough to remedy the problem. This has not yet occurred again after subsequent BIOS updates.I'm a freelancer and use this PC at least 5 days per week as my work computer and have not experienced any issues other than what's noted here. On multiple occasions, I have even had an Oracle VM VirtualBox Win 7 machine running (for which I've admittedly allocated only basic resources) concurrently with all of the software I initially mentioned... including the SQL Server instance. NO LAGS whatsoever!I have owned numerous PCs (desktops amp; laptops) in my lifetime... Easily 10+ HP/Compaq PCs alone. This is honestly the very first time I've made it 6 months without even the first hint of buyer's remorse. This was well worth my money!milwaukee mall, fort worth mall, ranking top3HP ENVY Desktop Computer, Intel Core i7-10700, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB H

All Abuzz About Bugs!

We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures.

We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.

Our Mission

Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.

Our Method

We collect photographs of bugs from the United States and Canada for identification and research.

We summarize our findings in guide pages for each order, family, genus, and species.

Making New Discoveries

More than just a clearinghouse for information, this site helps expand on the natural histories of our subjects. By capturing the place and time that submitted images were taken, we are creating a virtual collection that helps define where and when things might be found.

We capture never-before-seen behaviors and we have photos of species that you won't find anywhere else on the web.
