The Black Crowes: Freak 'N' Roll... Into the Fog:at our store, we stock over 2000 models, so if you see the manufacturer, but not the model, don't be shy - give us a call and we will be happy to check! The Black Crowes emerged from self-exile in 2005, sounding as good or even better than at the height of their fame, they have a classic lineup back, the Robinson brothers seem happy to be working together again, and they're delivering straight-up rock n' roll with a heavy dose of soul, no wonder their 2005 tour drew raves from the critics. Some people talk about how much the Crowes sound like the Stones or the Faces, and while that's true I fail to see the problem. These guys tip their hats to some of rock's best (they played 27 cover songs in addition to 57 originals over five nights at the Fillmore) but their songwriting is so strong and they are such capable musicians that anyone would be a fool to think they're just imitating their forebears.I used to think less of the Crowes' later albums compared to the first two. Yet I've came to appreciate their newer songs more after this tour. Like the Dead, or the Who, seeing the Crowes live changes everything. It's a shame that having helped save rock n' roll (yeah, I'm aware of how that sounds) they were put on the music industry's back burner, not "relevant" enough, or maybe too much fun. This DVD shows what a giant error that was, this is a great band. The one concession to Hollywood on this DVD is some intentionally shaky video of the band walking around San Francisco while some of the longer jams are going on. That's about all the showbiz you'll get, the rest is all music, unless you count Kate Hudson (wife of lead singer Chris Robinson) trying to put makeup on the band members before the show. And boy do I want to know what the brass section (the Left Coast Horns) was on that night, those guys were having a good time, while they aren't playing they're grinning and dancing. Good music from a hot band, a crowd having fun, good technical quality, it's a terrific DVD all around, and Amazon is selling this for ten and a half bucks, the deal of the year. The only thing that annoys me, they taped this on Saturday, and we were at the *Sunday* show. ;^)al sold out.,daily bargain sale, fresno mallThe Black Crowes: Freak 'N' Roll... Editorial Reviews

Shot live at the famous Fillmore in San Francisco in August 2005, this is The Black Crowes caught at their very best. After taking a break to pursue solo ventures in 2002, their 2005 tour became one of the hottest tickets of the US summer. With a set featuring all their greatest hits, and some stunning acoustic versions, in the middle of a two and a half hour show performed by one of the greatest live bands of all time, this is a concert simply not to be missed.

All Abuzz About Bugs!

We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures.

We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.

Our Mission

Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.

Our Method

We collect photographs of bugs from the United States and Canada for identification and research.

We summarize our findings in guide pages for each order, family, genus, and species.

Making New Discoveries

More than just a clearinghouse for information, this site helps expand on the natural histories of our subjects. By capturing the place and time that submitted images were taken, we are creating a virtual collection that helps define where and when things might be found.

We capture never-before-seen behaviors and we have photos of species that you won't find anywhere else on the web.
