Ramones: It's Alive 1974-1996:at our store, we stock over 2000 models, so if you see the manufacturer, but not the model, don't be shy - give us a call and we will be happy to check! I never cared at all for the Ramones studio releases, even the early ones. I just didn't get it, and always felt that The Damned, Dead Boys, Sex Pistols, etc., all produced much stronger studio efforts that were far more representative of what you got at a live show. That being said, the Ramones live was a brutal display of velocity, volume, and ferocity that their studio work barely hinted at. And of all their live releases, I always felt It's Alive was the one that came closest to capturing the excitement of a live show. I wasn't sure if the 4 disc anniversary edition would be worth the money, as all four shows are essentially the same show. It turned out to be worth every cent, and more. First of all, it is beautifully packaged. And despite many reviewers saying that the first three shows seemed but a warm-up for the New Year's Eve show, I felt that was anything but the case. They seemed to play with a reckless abandon that made those shows perhaps even more exciting than the slightly more polished (if the Ramones can ever be called polished) sound of the original It's Alive. My personal favorite is disc three, though Joey's warning to the spitters on disc two is certainly a highlight. As for the New Year's Eve show itself, for once I can say that the remastered sound is a significant improvement over the original. A great cd is now greater still. All in all, this is a superb product, one that all real Ramones fans should own.kansas city mall, free shipping / new,san antonio mallRamones: It's Alive 1974-1996

Editorial Reviews

Punk forefathers Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy, Marky, Richie, and C-Jay Ramone outlasted almost every one of their legions of followers. For over twenty years, they delivered their signature garage-flavored, ear-shattering chainsaw level and pop-skewed sound through a string of now-classic, loud-and-fast punk rock LPs, and 2,263 concerts together. This new two DVD set captures the essence of the legendary racket they made with over four hours of rare and previously unreleased live footage that's the closest you can get to experiencing this blitzkrieg of a band. From their earliest performances at lower Manhattan's CBGBs to international festivals in front of hundreds of thousands of fans, IT'S ALIVE 1974-1996 is your VIP ticket to the Ramones. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, the band may be gone, but their sound and influence are indestructible.

All Abuzz About Bugs!

We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures.

We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.

Our Mission

Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.

Our Method

We collect photographs of bugs from the United States and Canada for identification and research.

We summarize our findings in guide pages for each order, family, genus, and species.

Making New Discoveries

More than just a clearinghouse for information, this site helps expand on the natural histories of our subjects. By capturing the place and time that submitted images were taken, we are creating a virtual collection that helps define where and when things might be found.

We capture never-before-seen behaviors and we have photos of species that you won't find anywhere else on the web.
