ARB 5750300 Tire Carrier for Wrangler JK/TJ/YJ Bumpers

ARB 5750300 Tire Carrier for Wrangler JK/TJ/YJ Bumpers:at our store, we stock over 2000 models, so if you see the manufacturer, but not the model, don't be shy - give us a call and we will be happy to check! I shopped and shopped for a rear bumper and tire carrier. I had hear mixed reviews about the smittybuilt's, and most of the others seemed like they would take 6-8 weeks to get here, so against my better judgement, I ordered an un-reviewed product from Amazon. Here are all the cons, I really can't think of any pros.1. It didn't come with the m10 nuts for the link that connects the tire carrier to the back of the tailgate.2. The instructions didn't account for a 35 in tire when cutting the 3rd brake light off. I had to re-drill holes for this.3. Two of the nuts broke, just like when I put the bumper on, while installing. I had to cut them off, and go to the hard ware store to get new ones.4. The instructions state to cut the bump stops to 55mm. Ok, this obviously doesn't work for a product designed for a JK/TJ, and YJ bumpers. I own the JK.5. The lug nuts didn't fit, I had to use my old ones, and the bolt for this part kept coming out. It was an interesting dance trying to get the tire on.6. The mounting bar doesn't fit right into the nylon clasp which means without me having to cut nails to provide extra space inside the hinge point, the tire carrier was a pain to open and close. I had to lift the tire up for it to fit in the nylon lock. After one week, that bent, and not it sqeaks something awful. So, now I have to put duct tape, or gorilla tape all over the nylon lock, and the bar so it is bearable.Bottom line, this took me almost 3 days to install with constant trips back to the store to get new parts, bolts, nuts, etc. I would recommend you build your own before buying this piece of junk.ranking top1,discount is also underway, omaha mallARB 5750300 Tire Carrier for Wrangler JK/TJ/YJ Bumpers

Product description

Built to the same uncompromising standards as our bull bars, all ARB tire carriers incorporate a heavy duty towing system and depending on the vehicle may accommodate one or two tires or a jerry can holder. There are many benefits associated with fitting a tire carrier to a vehicle. Many 4x4s have their spare tire positioned underneath the vehicle making it difficult to access and vulnerable to damage, particularly in harsh off road environments. Others have their spare tire mounted on the back door, which can place stress on the door hinges, resulting in rattles and compromised dust sealing as increased wear is put on the door assembly. Both of these mounting methods can also prove unsuitable if a larger tire size is sought. An ARB tire carrier addresses all of these issues, relocating the spare tire onto the bumper assembly via a swing out carrier. Operation of the swing out carriers could not be more simple. Slight pressure applied to a lever opens each carrier with a gas strut assisting this process. The strut holds the carrier in the open position, with engagement of a locking pin only being necessary if the vehicle is on an extreme side angle. The carrier can be closed with a simple slam shut, with the spring loaded locking pin automatically disengaging as soon as the weight is released.

All Abuzz About Bugs!

We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures.

We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.

Our Mission

Using the best resources we have access to, we are creating a knowledgebase to help each other and the online community.

Our Method

We collect photographs of bugs from the United States and Canada for identification and research.

We summarize our findings in guide pages for each order, family, genus, and species.

Making New Discoveries

More than just a clearinghouse for information, this site helps expand on the natural histories of our subjects. By capturing the place and time that submitted images were taken, we are creating a virtual collection that helps define where and when things might be found.

We capture never-before-seen behaviors and we have photos of species that you won't find anywhere else on the web.
